Erin Lynn Paints
Welcome!
Hi there! I’m originally from Illinois and have proudly called the Chicago area home for 25 years. I’ve loved art from a young age, and that passion really took off during my time teaching.

I earned my BFA in Art Education from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where I also had the chance to lead weekly art lessons with high schoolers through the Spiral Workshop—such a rewarding experience! After graduating in 2012, I spent a few years working in Special Education at a center focused on Autism, using art therapy–focused lessons to help students express themselves and share their feelings creatively.

In 2014, I moved to Houston, Texas, where I taught for eight years. I was the campus art teacher and got to dive deep into fostering creativity and self-expression with my students. I also worked as a Special Education teacher before stepping up as the Special Education manager. I truly believe every student deserves the chance to be creative, included, and heard.

Then, in 2022, I moved to Greenville, SC, where I began blending art into project-based learning lessons in both English and Special Education classes. Just recently, in 2024, I earned my Master’s in Literacy from Clemson University, which has only fueled my passion for helping students communicate and create in new ways.

I’m currently working on additional endorsements in gifted education and Project-Based Learning (PBL). I’m an avid learner and want to keep building my teaching craft by combining my passions for visual art, communication, learning, and reading—bringing these to life in thoughtful, engaging ways for my students.

Painting is a big part of who I am. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me creating works that reflect my life and relationships. I also love running, sewing, reading, and spending time with my family.

Thanks so much for stopping by my portfolio! Feel free to check out my latest paintings—I’m excited to continue this creative journey in both my visual arts and teaching practice.
